Questions

What counts as a registration cost?

Everything you pay to take sign-ups and money: card processing fees on each payment, any registration software subscription, your website, and add-on tools like form builders or e-signature apps for waivers. Volunteer time is a cost too, even though it doesn't show up on a statement.

Does Pathfinder's 3.5% + $0.75 fee include card processing?

Yes. Stripe's card processing is paid out of that fee, so there's no separate processing charge on top. Your organization can absorb the fee or pass it to families as a separate line at checkout.

Why show both 'absorb' and 'families pay' results?

Because it's the biggest lever on your cost. Some leagues pass the fee through so the organization's only cost is the $599 annual subscription; others prefer families see one round price. The calculator shows both so your board can decide.
